Helmut Lotti Goes REM Sleep

In 2009, a year after the ambitious Helmut Lotti goes to Sleep, came a sequel that continues Lotti's bedtime adventures. This time the overall theme deals with not just sleeping but dreaming. Helmut Lotti goes To Sleep

This 2008 album showcases Lotti's huge then-interest in sleeping. His tour personnel  reported that Lotti was taking a nap so often that his shows were becoming instrumental gigs of his background band! Luckily he has recovered from napping so often but here's a document from the era when Lotti was very sleepy. He sings his favorite metal and rock tracks with a very sleepy style. It is one of his more experimental albums but absolutely worth a listen!

Helmut Lotti goes to Hell

Here's a very interesting part of Lotti's early career. This 1985 album is an Alice Cooper cover album, featuring all the songs from Alice's 1976 album "Alice Cooper goes to Hell". Alice Cooper was a big inspiration for Lotti when he was young and that's why he wanted to pay a tribute and give one of his favourite albums new clothes Lotti-style. Just listen to "I'm the Coolest" and you know instantly that Lotti is the right man to sing these songs - and the coolest!

1. Go to Hell (Alice Cooper cover)
2. You Gotta Dance (Alice Cooper cover)
3. I'm the Coolest (Alice Cooper cover)

Helmut Lotti goes Progressive Metal

The year 2015 starts off with a spectacle when maestro Lotti releases a brand new album. This full-length album consists of only two tracks - two massive epics from some of the best known progressive metal bands, Dream Theater and Symphony X. Lotti is best known of his vocal talent but this time he also wanted to show his virtuocity in playing other instruments. He decided to record all instruments by himself. The result is amazing. It is rumoured that Lotti sent promo copies for the bands he was covering and they were so shocked of Lotti's otherworldly talent that they cancelled their tours in shame, as they realized they could never play the songs as good as Lotti does!

1. A Change of Seasons (Dream Theater cover)
2. The Divine Wings of Tragedy (Symphony X cover)

Helmut Lotti goes Funeral Doom

On this brilliant cover album, released in 2009, Helmut does some pretty daring interpretations of classic and modern Funeral Doom anthems, featuring a heart-breaking duet with Sarah Not-So-Brightman and a complete a cappella ambient outro on track number four. Due to the massive length of the songs, the album contains only six tracks.

1. Chorale (Skepticism cover)
2. Yet the Watchers Guard (Thergothon cover)
3. Af Døde (Nortt cover)
4. Still-motion feat. Sarah Not-So-Brightman (Shape of Despair cover)
5. Antithesis of Light (Evoken cover)
6. Circle (Esoteric cover)

Helmut Lotti Goes Space
